COVID 19 Reopen Guidelines

Vena’s Skin & Body Treatments will reopen  February 1st, 2021. I have worked diligently during the spa closure to update its already rigorous sanitation and hygiene standards and safety for myself and clients. I have been certified with Rejuvenate Salon & Spa Disinfectants and Dermalogica Clean Touch. The following guidelines are intended to create a safe environment for the practice of skin services:

Please read all these guidelines – I look forward to seeing you again and am happy to answer any questions you may have about the guidelines below. Please call or text me 408-250-1188.

  • When you Book Online, there will be a COVID-19 intake form to fill out each time you schedule an appointment. Everyone should book online if possible. Go to my website www.skincarebyvena.com and press the Book Now button on the Home page. That will take you to my online scheduler. If someone can’t book online call or text me at 408-250-1188. I will schedule you online. When you arrive, I will have forms at the spa for you to fill out.
  • Ensure physical distancing protocols – maintain 6 feet between clients in common areas. Since my common area is very small, if I am finishing up with a client, please wait outside the door or you can wait in your car. I will text or call you to come in. This ensures that we don’t have too many people in the reception area at one time.
  • Clients will wear a mask in the common areas.
  • Practitioner will wear a mask in the common area and during the treatment session.
  • Friends and family of the client are not allowed to wait in the reception area while client receives the service, unless they are that client’s legal guardian.
  • Hands shall be sanitized on entry to the spa – wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds. I will also have sanitizer in the reception area for you to use as needed.
  • Refrain from hugging or shaking hands when greeting clients.
  • I will have a single use, disposable bag for the client to store clothes, shoes and belongings while receiving treatment.
  • CDC suggest that COVID-19 infected respiratory droplets can be dispersed when people talk. For this reason, talking is limited to communication about the service, pressure, warmth and comfort while in the enclosed space of the session room.
  • After each client, all hard surfaces including door handles, light switches, steamer arms and products will be wiped with disinfectant wipes.
  • Non-Electrical items will be cleaned with soap and water and then completely immersed, for at least 30 minute, in a registered bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal disinfectant.
  • Electrical items will be sprayed or wiped with registered bactericidal, fungicidal and virucidal disinfectant.
  • Towels, Linens and Smocks are changed after each client.
  • Restroom will be wiped down after each client.
  • Checkout – if using a debit or credit card, I will sanitize my touchscreen after each use, I will use gloves if receiving cash or checks.
  • I have changed my buffer time to 45 minutes in between clients. This gives me time to sanitize everything and help my client with any product purchases and checkout. Please be on time for your appointment.
  • If you need to cancel your appointment, please let me know at least a day before your appointment.
  • If you booked online you can reschedule your appointment if needed. Please also reschedule at least a day before your appointment.

I am so excited to welcome everyone back. Thank you for being my client. I value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming you back to a safe, therapeutic touch environment. I believe we can come together to implement these new guidelines to keep everyone safe and healthy.

I will continue to follow local, state and national regulations regarding the safe operation of spas. As the spa receives additional guidance, its policies and practices will be updated accordingly.
